Flashback...Burberry "Art of the Trench"

Right after I posted Zip Up Time," I remembered the ad campaign Burberry did a few seasons ago in collaboration with Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist "Art of the Trench." It's a super creative ad that captures the simplicity of a great Burberry trench coat, how a classic trench can be worn so many different ways, and mean something different to each wearer. Fall in Love with David Downton

I recently got big time fashion illustrator David Downton's latest book Masters of Fashion Illustration, and have fallen in love with fashion illustration. As an art and culture student I absolutely love all kinds of art, and fashion but when the two are combined into something amazing this kind of art is quickly becoming one of my favourites! The loose lines, the use of colours, and attitude that oozes out of the illustration only cements the idea of fashion as fantasy. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
