Hi everyone! TGI{finally}Friday! I don't know about you but for me this entire month of July has flown by. Not to mention there has yet to be a break in my schedule of bouncing around from my two jobs; however, as I have been reminding myself lately to keep my eyes on the prize, I have some new and exciting things to look forward to!


First things first, I have an incredibly busy weekend planned full of parties! Needless to say I am thrilled that I have almost all of next week off and will be heading to Penticton with Tyler for a long weekend getaway {hallelujah!}

Now, for the big news...
Starting next week I am beginning an editorial internship at Framework Magazine! {think less Devil Wears Prada and more Lauren Conrad from The Hills}. Framework Magazine is an incredible online publication full of everything stylish including fashion, home décor, entertaining, art, culture, and travel.  The monthly online magazine features how-to's, interviews, editorial spreads, and tips from industry experts such as Olivia Lovenmark of StyleStruck! 

I think anyone who knows me will agree when I say I can identify with the Framework Girl.  I was an avid reader of the magazine even before the internship and fell in love with it instantly when I first read the description of the Framework Girl:

The Framework Girl...

...dreams big and with abandon

...explores her city in search of the perfect patio

...dons a sundress at every chance

...enjoys reading in the sunshine

...plans a weekend picnic with her best girls

...looks to the details to create her bigger picture

UMMMM yes. Sounds about right.


I am beyond thrilled to have founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine Bria Lear take me under her wing and teach me; not only am I excited to learn more about digital publishing, fashion, and social media, I am absolutely dying to be surrounded by inspiring individuals, to get to speak and learn from them will be such a treat!

Summer Daze

It finally feels like summer is here in Vancouver! 

Yes, I'm back {don't you all go crazy now}

June was an incredibly busy and amazing and wonderful and eye opening and different month for me and I think I've finally snapped out of a daze and have got my summer organized. 

It is incredible how quickly you can grow in such a short period of time; I'm beginning to realize more and more about myself and its scary and exciting at the same time. I'll let you in on a little key that has become so important to me: 

attitude is everything.

This summer is the first one I have completely to myself {minus an online course that I've forgotten about already}. 

In addition to a June where I was away more than home {hello Vegas!}, my summer calendar is already full of weekend getaways and plans with great friends!

The best part is today was the first day that it actually felt like beautiful, gorgeous, hot, heated summer in Vancouver {check the forecast for the rest of the month, you will not be disappointed!} Cannot wait to laugh and sing and dance and watch the sun go down and watch the stars come out {preferably most likely with a cocktail in hand}

Well, an early Weekend Love. Forgive me, my weekend starts today.
I'm heading to Sin City aka LAS VEGAS for the first time ever and I CANNOT WAIT!
Preparing myself for hot hot heat, shopping, pool parties, and no sleep {it is the city that never sleeps... right?}!

I'm trying, I really am, my brain is mush with two weeks left of school :)

I am sooooo excited for June 14th which marks my last exam of summer and two weeks of R&R!

I'm heading to Penticton with T for one weekend, then headed to V-E-G-A-S the following weekend!

Hoping the weather's going to be amazing so I can get my ne-ON {ha ha!}

- oh and I guess trek up a mountain and get my butt kicked by T {grouse grind attempt #2 of summer 2012, be good to me}

The view from here

Hello strangers.

Excuse my absence from the bloggie, late nights and early mornings are starting to catch up with me. 

..... Not to mention that intersession classes end in less than a month soooooo I'm drowning under readings, papers, and midterms...

..... Not to mention that the weather has been stellar as of late {minus a day or two} so I've been spending my time enjoying the sunshine with friends...

.... Not to mention that I've been experiencing somewhat of an early quarter-life crisis so wheels have been turning and I'm amidst some personally significant changes in my life...

.... Not to mention I'm heading away to Vegas at the end of June so I need to get myself beach-bod ready...

Good thing I'm a pro at time management {lie} and balancing my personal, school, and career life {lie}.

Don't you worry about me, I'll get to it....

A little dramatic, but you know what I mean...

Mother's Day is just around the corner!

There are no gifts in the world that could ever repay my mumsie for everything she's done for my siblings and I. Everything from the countless early morning practices to and from the ice rinks, spending hours sequining my skating dresses, not to mention all the cooking, cleaning, and most importantly all the support, love, and putting up with my punk ass.
