So great news Vancity, I checked the weather forecast for the next week and I saw something I have yet to see so far this year. SUN ALL WEEK?!

Us three girls have all been so busy doing our own thing, but with August knocking on the door (indicating that there is ONE - I repeat ONE - more month of summer freedom left) I've decided that I'm going to drag get the girls together and visit our fave patios in Vancouver.

Here's where you can find us:

chill winston - gastown

a patio for people watching, one of the best spots for vibe and atmosphere

local public eatery - kits

great view of one of the world's sexiest beaches - kits beach!!!  chill, relaxed, amazing.

havana - commercial drive

admire the adorable pups being walked on the drive and the beautiful art displayed in the gallery inside

the keg - yaletown

unbelievable rooftop patio - fireplaces, skybar, yaletown view...... need I say more?

joe fortes - robson st

seafood, fine wine, and a rooftop garden - bliss!

water st. cafe - gastown

dine to the sight and sound of gastown's iconic steamclock.... you may recognize this one from the movie 'Love Happens' - what up hollywood!

bridges - granville island

patio literally on the water. enough said.

goldfish - yaletown

quaint tables amongst a garden, c'est comme le français, non? can't forget the cozy lounge couches, pillows and candles for late night... why yes, i'll take a glass of wine.

All of these restaurants are phenomenal in their own unique ways (obviously because we're featuring them!), and you can be sure that the food is delicious and more most importantly the drinks are always pouring!

Show your colors VANCOUVER!

Kat here! So it's the weekend and it is absolutely LOVELY outside. There is just so much happening in Vancity this weekend isn't LONG enough... haha... get it? (Lame, I know, work with me here)

First of all, HAPPY PRIDE week VANCOUVER!
In the words of my best friend in the world who will happily be celebrating this weekend:
"Live proud. Be Yourself. Be Fierce. Spread Love."

I encourage everyone to BE PROUD this weekend and get out to one pride event - whether its the parade on Sunday, one of the million events happening down by Davie St., or even just sporting a rainbow - show your colors Vancouver!

Secondly, who is hitting up the beach?? The sunshine is out in full force this weekend, and with the annual Celebration of Light fireworks show (tonight, Wednesday, and next Saturday night at 10PM) the beaches are going to be sardine packed. That being said, you might be able to catch me down at Kits beach at some point this weekend.

(P.S. good spots - English Bay, Kits Beach, Spanish Banks, and Lonsdale Quay, get there early early early if you're looking for a good comfortable spot)

Enjoy the weekend everyone, I'm off to meet B to go head over to the Whitecaps game VS the wonderful David Beckham's team the LA Galaxy - unfortunately, the superstar did not travel to Vancity for this game. It's a perfect, amazing, sunshine-y day to spend at Empire Field... sort of makes up for lack of David Beckham... (I said sort of...)

Currently in love (I lie... more like OBSESSED) with glittery, sparkly, shiny, sequiny, pretty things. I think the perfect amount of sparkle and shine can make a girl feel sexy and amazing. To quote Katy Perry, "there's a spark in you"! OK, I'll stop being a cheeseball and let the pictures do the talking.

How to Keep Cool?... (Sadly Not Needed)

Since it's July 27th I should be posting about how hot it is, and giving you advice on how to stay cool in this nasty hot weather by drinking lots of water, and wearing cute cropped shirts to keep your mid-drift cool..... but for those of you how live here in Vancouver, clearly a "how to keep cool" post is not needed! Even though the weather has been gross disgusting, I'm trying really hard to still wear my summer wardrobe (yes at times I've been freezing,  but I don't care it's "summer") which does include cute cropped tops!

Lately with the sun making appearances (well, here and there) I have fallen in love with the beautiful, vintage bikes I've been seeing everyone zooming around on. With more and more controversial bicycle lanes popping up around Vancouver, its becoming easier to get around on two wheels. Whether you're using it to get around town or lapping the seawall with friends and gelato, a cruiser is one of this summers most coveted accessories!

Simple Sundays

In my opinion, enjoying a simple Sunday is the best way to end a weekend and kick start the week.

Nothing is comparable to cozying up amongst a sea of pillows with a great book, a relaxing cup of tea, daylight streaming through an open window, and music of the moment in the background.

I wish this was my bedroom... Bliss!

Sangria and Girl Talk

All week all I can think about is how I can't wait for friday, so I can catch up with the girls, curl up in the sunshine with a good book, and wander around downtown. But before I know it, it's late sunday afternoon I've accomplished very little, and the weekend is over :( The girls and I did however manage to catch up @ Cactus Club in Yaletown for a much needed glass of Sangria and girl talk! Now it's almost monday and I can't wait til next friday!
