Men's Monday

My sincerest apologies for the lack of posting last week. Work, school & the 1st week of Summer semester which includes the terrors joys of my first intersession course got the best of me.
Btw, I accidentally referred to my intersession course as my intercourse the other day during a discussion. #Embarassing.
Let's move on shall we?

Roll em' Up

We've had glimpses of Summer weather these past few weeks in Vancouver & I've been taking full advantage of the glory that we call the SUN in shorts & my newest fashion obsession, rolled up pant cuffs!
So simple it's almost too good to be true! I feel like there should be some kind of informercial about it...

"Why spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a new wardrobe when you can reach into the closet and grab those pants you've been wearing ALL Winter ?!
All you have to do is ROLL EM' UP and show those sexy ankles of yours!
Only 3 Easy payments of NOTHING!!!...plus shipping and handling...

If it's sunny outside...do yourself a favor, get outside &
LIVE!!!

#MusicMonday
I'd like to thank Stars On Ice for this week's recommendation. If you were fortunate enough to catch the tour this year this song is from my favorite piece, the one with the lamps.
Absolutely stunning concept and beautiful choreography by Kurt Browning. Agree?

Open up your heart Let the light shine in...
I'm waiting for my real life to begin"

Men's Monday

Envy

Gay, straight, bi, thai....admit it, we ALL have a man crushes.
It's completely normal to see someone walking down the street or in the media and to think 'Man, that guy is toned' or 'Man, that guy's hair is slick' or even 'Man, that guy is rocking that purse...' Ok maybe not the latter thought but you get the drift.
Jealousy, although ugly, is a normal thing.
So who in the industry am I currently man crushin' on?

River Viiperi

Currently one the most sought after male models in the industry,
River has modeled for American Eagle, Nike, H&M's Versace line and most recently, Armani Exchange.
He's walked numerous runways as well as appeared in and graced the covers of many fashion magazines.
It really shouldn't come as a big surprise when I admit that yea, I'm just a little jealous.

Sometimes, life just isn't fair.

I can't believe it's already MAY!!!
It was such a beautiful day today and it reminded my that...
SUMMER IS COMING!
I couldn't have found a more appropriate song!

"The Summer is coming!
We all should stand clear of the heat and high water.
You don't see -but you hear."

Men's Monday

 "Aye, aye, Captain!"
Spent the good part of my weekend doing homework shopping and couldn't help but notice all the

S-T-R-I-P-E-S!
Some form of nautical was present in every store's collection (some more than others such as Urban Outfitters and Armani Exchange) and it induced mental images of all the ways I'm going to rock out this fun and youthful print in the Spring & Summer! I can already feel the toasty sun engulfing me in it's rays.
Only a couple more months....till then, keep daydreaming dreamers.

Burberry Prorsum 2011

The Biker Jacket

Since getting 'Guns N Roses' tattooed across my chest isn't the most practical way to shed the boy next door look, the biker jacket will have to do. We all have a rebellious side and when you're sick of "toeing the line" and want to add a little more kick to your outer persona; nothing says confident, strong, & looking for trouble like this classic piece.

P.S. Motorcycle not included.

The bad boy almost always gets the girl.

Good try Channing
...
but no one pulls off the biker jacket better than
Adam Levine.
Just bein' real.

Men's Monday

Pocket full of dreams

It's that time again! Another Monday is upon us and what better way to kick off the week than with another installment of Men's Monday.

Pocket squares, like all other acessories, can be so effective and eye catching when done with the proper colors & patterns. A great way to make your outfits more finished, unique, and more personalized; be more YOU while pushing the envelope of sophistication
You can be loud.
             You can be subtle.
You can be neat and crisp.
Or, you can be untidy and carefree.
The world is yours when it comes to pocket squares.

"It's the little things that make the big things possible. Only close attention to the fine details of any operation makes the operation first class."

Unlock Freedom

Jer here!

So I was doing my thing on youtube and going through my subscriptions when I came across a new video from the one and only, GregoryGorgeous.
For those of you who don’t know who GregoryGorgeous is, he’s a Canadian youtuber/video blogger who specializes in
beauty and make-up.
Despite all the forward movement we’ve made in regards to equal rights for all and acceptance, there is still a LONG way to go. Even in today’s society, it takes a lot of courage, self-confidence, and strength from within to do what he does and that simply, is to be himself. I think anyone and everyone can draw inspiration from his story regardless of their interests or sexual preference; forget the social norms, and just be you.

On another note, in one of Gregory’s latest videos, an amazing organization that I must bring to light is mentioned. This organization is known as “Sevenly". This organization strives to raise awareness and capitol to some of the world’s greatest causes by spotlighting a different charity every week. Through custom designed t-shirts sold directly from their website, a portion of the funds go straight to the cause.

Here’s the catch 22, the t-shirts are only available for the 7 days that the charity is being featured therefore if you see a charity you want to support or a t-shirt that catches your eye, ACT FAST!
THIS WEEK'S SHIRTS:
"Unlock Freedom" available in White / Grey / Navy

This week, the goal is to raise as much money as possible forFreely In Hope, a charity that aims to protect sexually abused women in Kenya. To learn more information about this week's charity, visit their website and view their mission statement by clicking here OR by watching the inspiring video on Sevenly’s homepage.

"Freely in Hope is dedicated to restoring justice, dignity and hope by liberating women and their families from the bondages of poverty. Our vision is for wom en worldwide to experience God’s transformative love by living freely in Hope."
          -Freely in Hope

“As brothers we will stand and we'll hold your hand”
-Mumford and Sons

Make one of your New Year's resolutions about giving back to your community & helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

What better way to start than with a purchase of one of these heart warming t-shirts which can make great gifts for New Years!

To quote GreogryGorgeous,

Stay gorgeous”
